Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. She spent most of her childhood listening to classical music and boleros of the past, classic ranchero or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. While a student, and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in the traditional Latin American music at private performances. as a music teacher and musician she has volunteered for numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana has also been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
